The petitioner seeks directions to the respondent/SSC to consider his candidature for the post of Constable (GD) and appoint him against the vacancy under the ST category, if found eligible. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had cleared the selection process for the subject post and was also declared fit by the Medical Board on 24.8.2016 but thereafter kept waiting for letter of appointment from the respondents but did not receive any intimation with regard to the status of his selection. Finally, the petitioner issued a legal notice dated 15.9.2017 to the respondents, which has remained unanswered. Hence, the present petition.

Ms. Bidawat, learned counsel for the respondents, who appears on an advance notice states that the legal notice dated 15.9.2017 shall be replied to W.P.(C) 1852/2018

by the respondents within four weeks from today and the decision taken thereon shall be intimated to him.

In view of submission, the present petition is disposed of along with the pending application with directions to the respondents to consider the submission made by the petitioner in the legal notice dated 15.9.2017 and intimate the decision taken within four weeks. 5.
