The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that he be granted anticipatory bail in relation to seven RCs (RC 219/2017 E 0020, RC 219/2017 E0022, RC 219/2017 E0023, RC 219/2017 E0024, RC 219/2017 E0025, RC 219/2017 E0026 & RC 219/2017 E 0027) which were registered under Sections 420/467/468/471 of the IPC read with Section 120B of the IPC and Section 13(2) read with Section 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

The petitioner is employed with the Punjab National Bank. At the material time, he was working as the Chief Manager of Punjab National Bank, Civil Lines Branch, Delhi. It is alleged that he had entered into a criminal conspiracy along with certain other employees of the Bank with one Deepak Guupta, to cheat Punjab National Bank and siphon off funds to eight separate companies/firms. Eight RCs in this regard were filed. It is

stated that the petitioner was arrested in one of the RCs and remained in custody for ninety days. He was thereafter, released on bail. It is also stated that other co-accused have been granted anticipatory bail by this Court. 3.

The petitioner states that after his release, he re-joined his employment with the said bank and he is responding to the internal disciplinary inquiries instituted by the said bank. 4.

Considering the facts and circumstances of this case and considering that the petitioner was taken into custody in one of the eight RCs, this Court considers it apposite to allow the present petition. 5.

It is directed that the petitioner be granted anticipatory bail in the aforementioned RC's on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹50,000/- with two sureties of an equivalent amount to the satisfaction of the concerned Investigating Officer.

The petitioner shall also ensure that he would join the investigation and fully cooperate with the Investigating Officer. The petitioner shall not leave the country without permission from the concerned Court. 7.
