Subject FIRs are cross-FIRs.
5.
In Crl.M.C.704/2018, petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.167/2014 under Sections 323/341/509/354/354-B/34 IPC , Police Station Harsh Vihar, based on a Settlement.

In Crl.M.C.705/2018, petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.165/2014 under Sections 323/325/341/354-B/34 IPC, Police Station Harsh Vihar, based on a Settlement.
7.
Subject FIRs were registered on account of a quarrel, which took place between the parties, who are neighbours. 8.
With the intervention of the respectable elder members of the locality, the parties have amicably settled their disputes. 9.
Parties are present in Court in person. They have undertaken to maintain peace and harmony in the area and not to quarrel with each other in future.
10.
The respective respondents/complainants are present in Court in person, are also represented by counsel and identified by the Investigating Officer. They confirm that they have settled their
disputes with each other with a view to maintain peace and harmony in the locality and further submit that they do not wish to press their respective complaints any further and have no objection to the quashing of the subject FIRs.
11.
In view of the above and keeping in view of the fact that the parties have resolved their dispute with the intervention of respectable members of the locality with a view to restore peace and harmony between them and further they do not wish to press charges against each other, continuation of criminal proceedings will be an exercise in futility and justice in the case demands that the dispute between the parties is put to an end and peace is restored; securing the ends of justice being the ultimate guiding factor. It would be expedient to quash the subject FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating there from.
12.
Accordingly, FIR No.167/2014 under Sections 323/341/509/354/354-B/34 IPC and FIR No.165 /2014 under Sections 323/325/341/354-B/34 IPC, Police Station Harsh Vihar and the consequent proceedings emanating there from are hereby quashed. 13.
