O R D E R

% 13.02.2018 Petitioners No. 1 & 2 had got married against the wishes of the parents of petitioner No.1 on 23.11.2015. They had been residing peaceably till December, 2017 when the father of petitioner No. 1 on the pretext of accepting the marriage of the parties and asked petitioner No. 1 to return home. He thereafter threatened that she would have to marry some other person and she must take divorce from petitioner No.2. Petitioner No. 1 returned to petitioner No. 2. They now apprehend that coercive steps may be taken by respondent No.4 (father of petitioner No.1) against the parties. They pray for police protection.

On advance notice, learned counsel for the State has put in appearance. He points out that in para 10 of the petition the

petitioners have themselves stated that they are residing in an undisclosed address. It may not be possible for them to afford the protection to the petitioners. The petitioners are present. Learned counsel for the petitioners informs this Court that the petitioners are presently staying at Ghonda mentioned in the memo of parties which is addressed of in-laws of petitioner No. 1. They seek protection at the aforenoted address. Accordingly, learned counsel for the State assures this Court that the local police of Ghonda shall be apprised of the situation and a beat constable will be sensitised. The local SHO shall also be informed. The mobile numbers of the beat constable and local SHO will be given to the petitioners and in case of any urgency or emergency, the petitioners may contact the local SHO who needless to state will afford adequate police protection to the petitioners.

Petition disposed of.
