The application is accordingly disposed of.

CRL.M.C. 4960/2024 3.

A Petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C has been filed on behalf of the petitioner for directing the learned Trial Court for speedy trial in FIR No. 654/2021 under Section 302/307/34 IPC.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the accused had arrested in October, 2021 and since then only two witnesses have been recorded and that directions be given to learned ASJ for expeditious trial of the present case.

Learned Prosecutor submits that the learned ASJ has been calling for the witnesses on every date and the trial is proceeding at its pace. no inordinate delay in conducting the trial by learned ASJ. There is no merit in the application, which may be dismissed.

Though, only two witnesses may have been examined since the day of filing of the Charge Sheet, but there is nothing to show that the learned ASJ has not been making every endeavour and effort to expeditiously conduct the trial.

In any case every Officer is aware that that the trials must be conducted expeditiously especially when the accused is in jail. 8.

With these observations, nothing further is required to be directed. 9.

The petition is accordingly dismissed.
