% 02.06.2016 CM APPL. 22470/2016 (by the respondents for extension of time for making compliances of the judgment dated 29.01.2016) 1.

The present application has been filed by the respondents praying inter alia for extension of time for making compliances of the judgment dated 29.01.2016, wherein the respondents were granted four months' time to issue a circular in terms of para 37 of the said judgment. 2.

Ms. Barkha Babbar, learned counsel for the respondents states on instructions that the respondents have accepted the judgment and propose to implement the same.

However, extension of time by six months is prayed for on the ground that large financial implications are involved in payment W.P.(C) 1335/2012

of amounts to the tune of Rs.600 crores, which requires consultation with several Ministries. It is in this background that extension of time has been prayed for.

Issue notice.

Learned counsel for the non-applicants/petitioners accepts notice and states that as per the averments made in the application filed by the respondents, the case has already been re-submitted to the Cabinet Secretariat after consultation with various Ministries alongwith the financial implication of the proposal and therefore, the respondents may not be granted extension of six months for implementation of the judgment. 5.

Having regard to the submission made by the counsel for the respondents, it is deemed appropriate to extend the timeline for making compliances of the judgment dated 29.01.2016, by four months effective from today.

The application is disposed of.
