Present public interest petition has been filed seeking issuance of directions to the respondent no.4 for immediate removal/sealing of illegal and unauthorised construction of ten properties at Darya Ganj, Delhi allegedly allowed by respondents no.4 & 5 after by-passing the statutory mandate and after connivance with the builders in the concerned area. The respondent MCD had, in compliance with order dated 21st September, 2023, filed a Status Report highlighting the action taken with regard to the illegal construction.

The petitioner has now filed a new application bearing CM Appl. No.61214/2024 alleging that there are additional properties where illegal construction has been carried out, and the same are listed in paragraph 9 of the said CM Application in a tabular form.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that despite submitting a representation dated 04th September, 2024 and a reminder dated 01st October, 2024, no action has been taken on the same. 5.

Since the petitioner/applicant has already submitted a comprehensive representation dated 04th September, 2024, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the representation dated 04th September, 2024 by way a speaking order in an expeditious manner. If any action is required to be taken in accordance with law, the STF shall do the needful expeditiously.

With the aforesaid direction, the present writ petition along with pending application stands disposed of.

The date already fixed i.e. 09th January, 2025 is cancelled.
