The Petitioner, Mr. Purushottam Goyel, asserts that he is the General Secretary and Founding Signatory of Jawaharlal Nehru National Youth Centre,1 a society registered under the Societies Registration, 1860. The relief sought in the present petition is as follows:
"a. Issue a writ, order(s) or direction(s) in the nature of Certiorari quashing the effect and operation of the Impugned Order Dated 01.11.2018 (Annexure 1) passed by Respondent No.1 viz. operation of the impugned order dated 01.11.2018 passed the then Registrar of Societies till the Court reaches the final conclusion in respect to the writ petition.
c) Issue any appropriate writ order(s) or direction(s) to the Registrar of Societies, not to, in any manner, approve, validate or give credence to any resolutions or decisions and/or actions taken or passed by the said selfstyled private persons, ex-office bearers until any specific order/ judgement is passed by any competent court of law.
d) Issue any appropriate writ order(s) or direction(s) to declare the amendments carried out in the MOA of JNNYC to be void & non-est." 2.
This instant petition was being taken along with W.P.(C) 12450/2023. In a separate order passed today in W.P.(C) 12450/2023, the Court has quashed the order dated 1st November, 2018 along with order dated 15th February, 2016. Thus, in the opinion of the Court, the relief sought in the present petition already stands redressed. The reasoning in the afore-said order shall apply mutatis mutandis to the present case. The Court finds no reason to delve into any other grounds which are being urged in the present petition.
