The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be given to respondent nos. 2 (Dy. Commissioner of Police, Outer District, Pitampura, Delhi) and 3 (SHO, PS Kanjhawala, Delhi) to provide protection to the petitioners. The petitioners state that they have attained the age of majority and have married contrary to the wishes of the family members of petitioner no.1. Respondent no.4 is the father; respondent no.5 is the mother; respondent no.6 is the brother; and respondent no.7 is the sister of petitioner no.1. The petitioners are apprehensive about their safety.

It is also stated that the said family members have extended threats to the petitioners.

In view of the averments made in the present petition, the same is disposed of by directing the SHO, P.S. Kanjhawala, Delhi, to examine the complaint made by the petitioners and provide such protection to the petitioners as he considers appropriate. He shall also provide the telephone number of a beat constable to the petitioners in order to enable them to contact him in case of an emergency.

No further orders are required to be passed in this petition. 6.

The petition is disposed of.
