The Petitioners have approached this Court for quashing FIR No.484/2016 dated 24.09.2016 registered at Police Station Mahendra Park for offences under Section 354A, 509, 506 and 34 IPC. 2.

The Petitioners have approached this Court on the ground that the complaint was registered on the misunderstanding and the parties have now amicably settled the matter.

and since the relationship had gone sour, the FIR has been registered. 4.

The Complainant is present in Court. She states that an amicable settlement has been arrived at between the parties and she does not wish to continue with her complaint in order to have cordial relationship in future. 5.

This Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served in proceeding ahead with the matter and the chances of conviction of the Petitioners are remote. In order to save the precious time of the courts, this Court is inclined to exercise its jurisdiction under Section 482 CrPC to quash the instant FIR.

Resultantly, FIR No.484/2016 dated 24.09.2016 registered at Police Station Mahendra Park for offences under Section 354A, 509, 506 and 34 IPC and the proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed. 7.

However, in view of the fact that the time of the police and the courts have been wasted, this Court is inclined to impose costs of Rs.5,000/- on each of the Petitioners which shall be deposited with the Armed Forces Battle Casualties Welfare Fund within a period of four weeks from today. The receipt of the deposit of the said amount shall be filed with the Registry of this Court within four weeks thereafter.
