Learned counsel for the parties have drawn this Court's attention to the Minutes of the Meeting held on 05th March, 2024 with respect to the implementation of the hybrid hearing system in DRAT/DRT. From the said minutes of the Meeting, it is apparent that substantial progress has been made with regard to installation of hybrid hearing system in DRAT/DRT. Section 17A(1) of the Recovery of Debts and Bankruptcy Act, 1993 reads as under:

"17. Jurisdiction, powers and authority of Tribunals ...

17A. Power of Chairperson of Appellate Tribunal.- (1) The Chairperson of an Appellate Tribunal shall exercise general power of superintendence and control over the Tribunals under his jurisdiction including the power of appraising the work and recording the annual confidential reports of Presiding Officers.....

Keeping in view the aforesaid provision, this Court directs that the Minutes of the Meeting held on 05th March, 2024 be placed before the Chairperson of the Appellate Tribunal for passing appropriate orders and directions.

With the aforesaid direction, the present writ petitions are closed. Pending applications are disposed of. The registry shall forward a copy of this order along with the Minutes of Meeting dated 05th March, 2024 to the Chairperson, DRAT forthwith for necessary information and action.
