This is a petition seeking extension of time of 6 months for concluding the arbitral proceedings.

It is stated by learned counsel for the petitioner that the arbitral proceedings are at an advanced stage. Final arguments have already been heard by the learned Arbitrator and the parties have to file their written arguments. It is stated that the delay occurred on account of some miscellaneous applications. Ms Pandey, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and states that she has no objection to the petition being allowed. 8.

For the reasons noted above, I am of the view that sufficient cause has been shown for the delay.

The petition is allowed and the time for passing of an Award is extended for a period of 6 months w.e.f. 03.07.2024. 10.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
