The present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C has been filed by the Petitioner challenging the Order dated 04.06.2024 passed by the Ld. Additional Sessions Judge, North-West District, Rohini Court, Delhi dismissing the Criminal Appeal No.15/2024 which had been filed against the Order dated 22.07.2023 passed by the Ld.

Metropolitan Magistrate/Mahila Court, North-West District, Rohini, Delhi dismissing the application filed under Section 25(2) of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 (hereinafter referred to as "Domestic Violence Act") for enhancement of maintenance. 2.

Metropolitan Magistrate/Mahila Court, North-West District, Rohini, Delhi discloses that the Mahila Court has opined that the application for enhancement of maintenance would be considered after leading the evidence. The Appellate Court vide Order dated 04.06.2024 chose not to interfere with the Order dated 22.07.2023.

In view of the fact that the present proceedings arise out of the Domestic Violence Act and not more than 5 witnesses are to be examined, this Court is of the opinion that the petition can be disposed of requesting the Trial Court to conclude the proceedings as expeditiously as possible. The Trial Court is requested to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one (1) year.

With these observations, the petition is disposed of, along with pending application(s), if any. It is made clear that this Court has not made any observations on the merits of the case. All the rights and contentions of the parties are left open.
