This is a petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator by a period of 1 year with effect from 20.04.2024. 5.

that the record of the arbitration proceeding is voluminous and evidence of number of witnesses has to be recorded. 6.

For the said reasons, issue notice.

Mr. Monga, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent Nos. 1, 2 and 4. Mr. Gaur, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent No.3. Mr. Kapur, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent No.5. All the learned counsels have no objection to the petition being allowed.

For the reasons noted above, I am satisfied that sufficient cause has been shown. The mandate of the arbitral tribunal is extended by a period of 1 year with effect from 20.04.2024. The period after 20.04.2024 stands regularised.

The petition is allowed and disposed of.
