This petition has been filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking extension of mandate of an arbitral tribunal ["the Tribunal"] which is in seisin of disputes between the parties under a Concession Agreement dated 14.01.2023. 2.

was reconstituted by an order of this Court dated 14.01.2020 in O.M.P.(T)(COMM) 107/2019. The mandate of the Tribunal has been extended from time to time, lastly until 30.06.2024. I am informed that the Tribunal has concluded the proceedings and that the parties have been informed that the award has also been prepared. However, an extension of one month is sought as one of the members of the Tribunal was travelling.

Mr. Soumik Ghosal, learned counsel for the respondents, appears on advance notice, and states that the respondents have no objection to the relief sought.

In view of the above, and with the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Tribunal is extended for a period of one month, i.e. until 31.07.2024. 6.

The petition stands disposed of in these terms.
