% 05.07.2024 1.
This is a petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the arbitral tribunal by a period of 6 months with effect from 12.06.2024. 2.
It is stated by Mr. Mishra, learned counsel for the petitioner that the final arguments have been heard and the award is reserved vide order dated 16.04.2024.
3.
For the said reasons, issue notice. Mr. Jain, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and has no objection to the petition being allowed.
4.
As the arguments have been heard and only the award is required to be made and pronounced, I am of the view that sufficient cause has been shown. The petition is allowed and the period of 6 months with effect from 12.06.2024 is granted to the arbitral tribunal for making and publishing the award. The period after 12.06.2024 stands regularised. 5.
The petition is disposed of.
