The Petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayer:- "a. Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, thereby directing the Respondent to take time bound action in respect of complaint dated 08.05.23 of the Petitioner against the notary public (Sh. OP Chaudhary) registered with the Respondent, complete the inquiry as laid down in Notary Rules 1956 against the said notary public and fix accountability against the erring officials including notary public who 1s a public officer, as provided under the notary rules 1956, b. Any other or further relief which this Hon'ble Court deems fit in favour of the Petitioner and in interest of justice."

Though notice was issued to Mr. O P Choudhary, against whom the complaint is made, however, he has not been served because his address is not known.

Material on record discloses that there is already a complaint dated 08.05.2023 which is pending before the Respondent. It is very clear that one year has passed but there is no substantial progress on the complaint. 4.

The writ petition is being disposed of with a direction to the Respondent to dispose of the complaint within a period of eight weeks from today.

The Petitioner, being the complainant, is entitled to know the result of the complaint.
