Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 ('Cr.P.C.') has been preferred on behalf of the petitioner for quashing of rejection order dated 23.04.2024 and for grant of parole for a period of two months for filing of SLP before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. 2.
Issue notice. Learned ASC for the State appears on advance notice and accepts notice.

Learned ASC for State points out that as reflected in the list of dates in the petition, an application for parole appears to have already been filed by the petitioner before the Competent Authority. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of earlier orders passed on record, a fresh application can be filed by the petitioner for parole before the Competent Authority on the grounds of filing of SLP before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India or the present petition may be treated as a representation for said purpose, which may be directed to be disposed of within a period of four weeks by the Competent Authority. 5.
Taking the statement of learned counsel for petitioner on record, petition is accordingly disposed of with the directions to the Competent Authority to consider the present petition filed on behalf of the petitioner as representation for grant of parole for filing of SLP and the same be disposed of within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of this order. Petitioner is also at liberty to file an application afresh, if he so desires. Petition is accordingly disposed of. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
A copy of this order be forwarded to Superintendent Jail concerned for information and compliance.
