O R D E R

Vide order dated 03.05.2024, the respondent/contemnor was found guilty of committing contempt of court. Pursuant to the said order, the contemnor has filed affidavit whereby stated that at the time of uploading the video on his social media handle i.e. Facebook and Twitter on 24.08.2022, his intention was neither to defame this Court nor the Judges of the Court nor to scandalise them to lower the majesty of the Court at any point of time. The video was uploaded by the contemnor just to express his opinion regarding the way the case was going on. 2.

The contemnor is present in Court.

The contemnor has tendered unconditional apology before this Court stating that he was unable to estimate the outcome of the video, which was CONT.CAS (CRL) 13/2023 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. uploaded by him on 24.08.2022. The contemnor submits that he is ready and willing to deposit an amount of Rs. 1 lac for welfare purposes so to compensate for the public time wasted in the present proceedings. 4.

In view of aforesaid, we accept the unconditional apology tendered by the contemnor and discharge him from the contempt proceedings. 5.

As submitted by the contemnor, he shall, within two weeks, deposit amount of Rs. 1 lac, with the Registry of this Court, which shall be disbursed in the following manner:- (a) Rs.25,000/- in favour of Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee.

(b)Rs.25,000/- in favour of Delhi Indigent & Disabled Lawyers Fund. (c) Rs.25,000/- in favour of Nirmal Chhaya for Welfare of Children and Destitute Women.

(d)Rs.25,000/- in the account of Bharat Ke Veer Fund. 6.

With directions as aforesaid, the present contempt petition is disposed of while making it clear that if in future contemnor acts in the same manner, strict action will be taken against him.
