% 09.02.2018 Petitioners are seeking quashing of the present FIR No. 1470/2014 registered at PS Krishna Nagar registered under Section 498A/406 r/w Section 34 of the IPC on the complaint of respondent No. 2. Respondent No. 2 is present in person in court and her presence has been identified by the investigating officer. It is stated that the matrimonial discord between the parties has now been resolved and the parties have obtained a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 10.05.2016. These facts as narrated in the petition are endorsed by the parties i.e, by petitioner No. 1 and respondent No. 2. Both the parties are present in person in court. In terms of the settlement arrived at between the parties, petitioner No. 1 agreed to pay a sum of Rs. 1,45,000/- to respondent No. 2. Out of which Rs.

1,40,000/- already stands paid and Rs 5000/- has been paid by way of cash today in court to respondent No. 2. It is a fit case where the prayer made in the petition should be granted. Accordingly, to secure the ends of justice, the present FIR No. 1470/2014 registered at PS Krishna Nagar registered under Section 498A/406 r/w Section 34 of the IPC and all proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition disposed of in the above terms.
