$~79 *
IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI
+ W.P.(CRL) 2722/2019 MANOJ ..... Petitioner Through:
Mr Dhruv Gupta (DHCLSC) with Mr Shaishav Manu, Advocates.
versus STATE ..... Respondent Through:
Ms Shivani Sharma, Advocate for Ms Richa Kapoor, ASC for State.
SI Amit Kumar, PS Kalyanpuri.
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIBHU BAKHRU
O R D E R
% 23.09.2019 1.
The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, impugning an order dated 20.08.2019 passed by the respondent, thereby rejecting the petitioner's application for parole. A plain reading of the impugned order dated 20.08.2019 indicates that the petitioner's prayer had been rejected in terms of Sub-Rules (II) and (IV) of Rule 1210 of the Delhi Prison Rules, 2018.
2.
The petitioner was released on furlough for a period of two weeks with effect from 19.01.2019.
However, he had failed to surrender on or before 03.02.2019; he had surrendered on 05.02.2019 (that is, he was late by a period of two days).
3.
In view of the above, this Court finds no infirmity with the impugned order. The petition is, accordingly, dismissed. VIBHU BAKHRU, J SEPTEMBER 23, 2019/MK
