% 12.02.2018 Respondent No.2 Smt. Bhawana is present in court and has been identified by ASI Ashwani Kumar of police station Jyoti Nagar. Respondent No.2 says that she has settled the matter with petitioner no.1 before the Counselling Cell, Karkardooma Courts vide Settlement Deed dated 3rd August, 2016 of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. Her marriage with petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 11th October, 2017 passed by Family Court, Shadadra District, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi. Petitioner no.1 has paid `1,00,000/- by way of demand draft, photocopy whereof is on record. Respondent No. 2 says that with this payment, entire settlement amount stands received. She says that she

has no objection in case FIR is quashed against petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 and 3.

Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioner No.1 and respondent no. 2 voluntarily coupled with the fact that marriage between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 has already been dissolved, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.

In the interest of justice, FIR No.127/2013 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Jyoti Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
