This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal by a period of one year.

Disputes having arisen between the parties in relation to a Letter of Intent issued by the Petitioner on 21.03.2022 in favour of the Respondent, Petitioner issued termination notice dated 13.09.2022 pursuant to which Respondent filed a petition under Section 9 of 1996 Act in this Court being O.M.P.(I) (COMM.) 302/2022. In the said petition, the Court appointed a sole Arbitrator on 19.01.2023 to adjudicate the disputes. 3.

It is stated in the petition that during the 32nd proceedings on 18.12.2024, the mandate of the learned Arbitrator, which was expiring on O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 473/2025 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. 03.01.2025, was extended by six months upto 04.07.2025, with the consent of the parties. It is further stated that the arbitral proceedings are at the stage of filing of amended List of Witnesses along with evidence by way of affidavit on behalf of the Petitioner herein, which is the Respondent in the arbitral proceedings. In this backdrop, extension of the mandate of the Arbitrator is sought.

Ms. Aakanksha Nehra, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the Respondent and on instructions, submits that Respondent has no objection to the extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal. 6.

Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of one year from 05.07.2025. 7.

Petition is allowed and disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
