This is a petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 ('Cr. P.C.') seeking sixty (60) days parole in the FIR No. 1291/2014 under Sections 376(2)(m)/323/366/506 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 ('IPC') registered at PS Sarai Rohilla.

Learned Additional Standing Counsel (ASC) for the Respondent states that the Petitioner has an efficacious remedy of approaching the Jail Superintendent for grant of parole.

At this stage, learned counsel for the Petitioner states that the present petition itself may be treated as a representation/application to the Jail Superintendent for the relief of parole.

Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Respondent to treat this petition as an application for parole and place the same before the Jail Superintendent, who is directed to decide the same within a period of two (2) weeks in accordance with law. 6.

It is made clear that nothing stated in this order is an expression of opinion on the merits of the case.

Copy of the order be sent to the Jail Superintendent for information and necessary compliance.
