In compliance with the Court's direction passed in order dated 1st August, 2025, the Investigating Officer has duly given an intimidation of the pendency of the present proceedings to the wife of the Petitioner since the Petitioner has deceased. The counsel, who represents the wife of the deceased, on instructions, states that she does not wish to continue with the present proceedings. Pertinently, the Petitioner was the sole convict under the impugned judgment.

Accordingly, and in view of the demise of the Petitioner, the relief sought in the present petition has been rendered infructuous, particularly in the absence of any family member of the deceased coming forward to continue the present proceedings.
