Present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner primarily seeking directions to the respondents no.1 to 15 to take action against respondents no.16 to 18 under the provisions of the Delhi Preservation of Trees Act, 1994.

Today, learned counsel for the respondent nos.16 to 18 has handed over in Court an order dated 27th September, 2024 passed by Deputy Conservator of Forests whereby a compounding amount of 3,60,000/- (Rs. Three Lac Sixty Thousand only) i.e. Rs.60,000/- for each tree has been imposed on respondent no.16. The Deputy Conservator of Forests in the said order has also directed respondent no.16 not to fell, prune or headback any tree in future without any prior permission from the Tree Officer.
