This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitrator for a period of 6 months. 2.

Disputes having arisen between the parties in relation to Leave and License Agreement dated 02.11.2012, Petitioner filed a petition under Section 11(6) of the 1996 Act for appointment of an Arbitrator being ARB P. No. 700/2019, which was allowed by this Court on 12.01.2022 and a Sole Arbitrator was appointed. Mandate of the Arbitrator was extended upto 28.02.2025 vide order dated 30.08.2024 in O.M.P.(MISC.) (COMM.) No. 641/2024. Arbitral proceedings are stated to be at the stage of evidence of claimants' witnesses.

on instructions, submit that Respondents have no objection to the extension of the mandate of the Arbitrator, however, Petitioner be directed to take necessary steps before the Arbitrator in light of amalgamation of Petitioner's company.

Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the Arbitrator is extended by six months from 25.08.2025 and period between 01.03.2025 to 24.08.2025 is regularized.

The question of amalgamation of the Petitioner's company is left open to be adjudicated by the Arbitrator.

Petition is allowed and disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
