Petitioner has approached this Court primarily for a direction to the Trial Court for speedy trial.

It is stated by the learned Counsel for the Petitioner that charges were framed against the Petitioner on 14.05.2024 and the next date of hearing before the Trial Court is 12.09.2024. He states that speedy trial is mandated under Article 21 of the Constitution of India. 3.
In view of the above, Trial Court is directed to ensure that long dates are not given in cases, more so when the accused is in jail.
