This petition has been filed by the petitioner praying that he should be considered for the appointment to the post of Trade: Havaldar (Clerk) by the respondents.

The petitioner claims that he had successfully cleared the physical, written, typing, and medical tests in Assam Rifles Technical and Tradesmen Recruitment Rally, 2023, and had been declared fit for the service, however, his name was omitted from the final result. 3.

The learned counsel for the respondents, on instructions, submits that only 13 candidates were to be selected in the recruitment process. Unfortunately, the petitioner, though qualified all the selection processes, was ranked at serial no.14. He therefore, was not offered the appointment. filled, and presently there is no vacancy.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that 13 posts that have been mentioned by the respondents were only for the Rajasthan division, and there are posts available in the other States. 5.

As the petition stands today, it is not the claim of the petitioner that the petitioner has to be considered for the posts available in different States. It is also not the case of the petitioner that there is a combined seniority list for the posts in different States. As the respondents submit that there are only 13 posts for the Rajasthan division, and in the said division, the petitioner got the rank at serial number 14 in the seniority list, while the last selected candidate was placed at serial number 13, no relief can be granted to the petitioner in the present Writ Petition.

The petition is accordingly dismissed.
