The petitioner has filed this application for withdrawal of the captioned writ petition.

By way of the writ petition, the petitioner challenges an order of suspension dated 15.12.2023.

During the pendency of the writ petition, he has been served with a chargesheet dated 08.07.2024. It is stated in the application that in view of certain developments that have taken place, the petitioner wishes to withdraw this writ petition.

Although liberty has been sought to file a fresh writ petition against the same suspension order, the matter was passed over to enable Mr. Tarkeshwar Nath, learned counsel for the petitioner, to take instructions. He states that the petitioner wishes to withdraw the writ petition, with liberty to defend the chargesheet and take remedies arising out of the disciplinary proceedings as he may be entitled in law. 5.

The request is allowed in the aforesaid terms. The writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn, without prejudice to the petitioner's defences in the disciplinary proceedings, and to any remedies he may have arising therefrom.

Mr. Nath states that the chargesheet issued on 08.07.2024 remains pending, despite reply having been filed. It is therefore open to the petitioner to request the department to expedite the process. 7.

The writ petition is disposed of as withdrawn, with liberty as aforesaid.

Next date of hearing, i.e. 05.05.2025, stands cancelled.
