% 22.10.2024 At the outset, it may be noted that the mother and father of the deceased are present in court. Though they had engaged a private counsel, he is not present today and has not been appearing for the last several dates either. The father of the deceased has requested that he be assigned a legal-aid counsel.

Considering these regular bail petitions have been pending since October 2023 and January 2024 respectively, the court has proceeded to hear the bail petitions.

However, after making very brief submissions in the matter, Mr. Hirein Sharma, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners seeks leave to withdraw the present bail petitions, with liberty to file for the same relief before the learned trial court once the material witnesses, namely, Smt. Madhuri (mother of the deceased), Mr. Aman Sharma (brother of the deceased) and Mr. Satya Pal Sharma (mediator who had arranged the marriage) are examined before the learned trial court.

Mr. Sharma further requests that since the petitioners in both the bail petitions have already been in judicial custody for about 01 year and 06 months, the learned trial court be directed to complete the deposition of the aforesaid 03 witnesses within a time-bound manner. 5.
In view of the above, the present petitions are disposed-of as withdrawn, with liberty as prayed-for, with a request to the learned trial court that every effort be made to complete the deposition of the aforesaid 03 witnesses within the next 06 months, subject of course to feasibility and work-load of the court.

Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed-of. 7.
It is made clear that this court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter.
