2.

Respondent No.2/ complainant-Ms.Pooja is present before the Court with her counsel and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from her whether the matter has been settled with the petitioners amicably without fear and pressure. She has stated that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure and that the petitioner No.1 were to pay `12 lacs, out of which she has already received `8,00,000/- lacs and `4 lacs have been received by her in court today by way of Cheque bearing No.731823 dated 14.09.2016 drawn on Canara Bank. Since the matter has been settled between the parties and the divorce by mutual consent has already been granted vide decree dated 02.01.2016, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings under Sections 406/498-A/34IPC. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to settle in life after divorce, FIR No.189/2013 under Sections 406/498-A/34 IPC registered at Police Station Nanakpura and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.

4.
