The present petition under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (hereinafter "CrPC)/Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (hereinafter "BNSS") read with Sections 482 of the CrPC/ Section 528 of the BNSS read with Section 45 of the Prevention of Money laundering Act, 2002, seeks an extension of the petitioner's interim bail for a period of 90 days in the case arising out of ECIR dated 16.03.2024.

Extension of interim bail is presently being sought on the ground of the petitioner's mother's ill health, and to make necessary arrangements for her continued medical treatment.

Counsel Mr. Amit Chaddha draws this Court's attention to the status report filed by the respondent on the last date of hearing. 4.

It is his case that there are certain inconsistencies in the status report with respect to the timeline of events discussed, and presses on the promptness of the petitioner in using his time spent on interim bail, i.e., since 19.06.2025, to care for his mother - in an attempt to establish his bona fides.

Per contra, Mr. Arkaj Kumar, learned Standing Counsel for the Directorate of Enforcement, argues against the integrity of the petitioner's claims to the extent of the exact status of his mother's ailments. 6.

On a query by the Court, Mr. Chaddha submits that the petitioner's mother is due to be admitted to the hospital on 14.08.2025, in order for her to undergo surgery on 15.08.2025.

At this stage, Mr. Chaddha, on instructions, submits that the petitioner is willing to surrender, and that he will move a fresh application to attend to his mother's surgery.

This Court grants the petitioner liberty to move such an application as and when required.

In view of the above facts and circumstances, the petitioner is directed to surrender at 4.00 pm on Friday i.e., 01.08.2025, before the Court of learned ADJ 04, West District, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi. 10.

With the aforesaid directions, the present petition, along with pending applications, if any, stands disposed of.
