The Investigating Officer is present and has submitted that the Chargesheet against the petitioners has already been filed in the Court and the next date is 23.09.2024.

By way of present petition the petitioners had sought quashing of FIR vis-à-vis the petitioners on the ground that though the respondent No.2 has settled the matrimonial dispute with all other family members, but has excluded her and her husband who are the sister-in-law and her husband.

It is further submitted that even otherwise no case is made out against the petitioners who are liable to be discharged.

The learned APP on instructions from the IO submits that chargesheet against 10 accused persons have been filed in the Court. It is quite evident that despite being aware of the whereabouts of the petitioners, no effective steps have been taken by the IO to join them in the investigations.

IO is hereby directed to complete the investigations viz-a-viz the petitioners within two months and submit the Report in the Court. The petitioners shall join the investigations as and when called by the IO.

The petition is disposed of.
