Counsels for parties draw the attention of the Court to the settlement arrived at before the Delhi High Court Mediation & Conciliation Centre dated 17th December 2025 between the appellant (Insurance Company) and the claimants (respondent nos.1-5), who are legal heirs of one Sh. Jamsher, who met with an accident on 15th August 2016 and succumbed to the injuries.

Said settlement has been handed over to the Court. Same shall be placed on record.

The Court has perused the settlement and finds it to be lawful and acceptable. Parties have agreed to settle the disputes for a total amount of Rs.40,00,000/- as full and final settlement, inclusive of interest at the rate of 9%. before the Registrar General of this Court, which, as stated by Mr. Ved Vyas Tripathi, counsel for appellant, has been deposited. 4.
The appeal is, therefore, disposed of in terms of the settlement. 5.
The statutory amount of Rs.25,000/- deposited by the appellant/Insurance Company be refunded to them by the Registry. 6.
The next date already fixed i.e. 04th February 2026, stands cancelled. CM APPL. 3509/2026 (for release) 1.
This application has been filed by the respondents/claimants seeking release of 60% of the awarded compensation, now modified by the settlement.

Accordingly, 60% of Rs.40,00,000/- as deposited by the appellant/Insurance Company before the Registry of this Court, be released in favour of respondents/claimants, subject to verification of the identities. 3.
Application stands disposed of.
