The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking quashing of FIR No.479/2021 registered under Sections 323, 341, 506, 354(B), 34 IPC and Section 8 POCSO Act at P.S. Jaitpur, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes. 2.

As per the allegations levelled in the FIR, the petitioners misbehaved and gave beatings to the complainant with the intent of insulting her. 3.

Learned APP for the State submits that in the present case the petitioners are the only accused persons and respondent No.2 is the complainant/victim. He further submits that there are two victims. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the amended memo of parties shall be filed during the course of the day. 6.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the parties, with the intervention of family members, friends and respectable persons of the society, have entered into a settlement vide Compromise Deed /Memorandum of Understanding dated 15.12.2021 and in terms of the settlement, respondent No.2 and victim are now left with no claim whatsoever against the present petitioners.

The petitioners, who are present in the Court, have been identified by their counsel and the Investigating Officer. Respondent No.2 and another victim, who are present in the Court, have also been identified by the Investigating Officer.

The petitioners have shown remorse for their conducts and they undertake not to repeat the same in future. Respondent No.2 and another victim state that they have entered into the aforesaid Compromise Deed /Memorandum of Understanding out of their own free will, volition and without any coercion. They further state that they have no objection if the present FIR and consequent proceedings are quashed. 9.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that there is another connected FIR being FIR No.477/2021 registered under Sections 308/506/34 IPC at P.S. Jaitpur, New Delhi which has also been quashed vide CRL.M.C. 5886/2023.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed, subject to payment of costs of Rs.20,000/- by each the petitioners out of which Rs.10,000/- is to be given to each of the 2 victims by way of a Demand Draft through Investigating Officer.

Proof evidencing receipt of deposit shall be filed with the Investigating Officer as well as in Court.

With the above directions, the petition is disposed of alongwith the pending application.

The Registry shall list the matter before this Court in case receipt of costs to be paid by the petitioners is not filed within the stipulated time period.
