Application preferred on behalf of petitioner already stands disposed of but vide order dated 05.09.2024, the same was directed to be listed today for purpose of obtaining status report since a grievance had been raised by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner had not been medically examined at Jail Hospital for follow-up treatment and also necessary medicines/special diet need to be provided as observed in order dated 22.08.2024.

As per the medical status report dated 18.09.2024 received from Superintendent Jail No. 01, petitioner has been allowed to receive "not available" medicines through Mulakat as prescribed by AIIMS Hospital. Petitioner is also stated to be under regular follow-up with duty doctor and jail visiting S. R. Medicine. It is further reflected in the report that petitioner had been earlier examined at R.M.L. for a follow-up check up in view of court date and visit is now scheduled for 20.09.2024.

Learned counsel for the petitioner is still dissatisfied with the report received on record and has expressed his reservations. However, learned APP for the State as well as learned counsel for victim emphasize that petitioner can only be provided with necessary facilities and medical treatment in accordance with jail rules.

In view of status report received on record in compliance of the earlier observations made by this Court, no further directions are called for, at this stage. However, petitioner is at liberty to file any follow-up application, if so advised, for purpose of ensuring medical treatment in accordance with jail rules, before the learned Trial Court.
