BAIL APPLN. 2343/2025 1.
This is an application filed on behalf of the petitioner under Section 528 of BNSS for grant of extension of interim bail which was granted vide order 28.10.2024 in case FIR No.273/2014 registered under Section 420/406 IPC at police station Malviya Nagar.

The learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner is suffering from multiple ailments for which he requires proper medical treatment. It is stated that deteriorating health condition of petitioner is caused due to The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
chronic kidney disease which is at stage-IV and his health condition has worsened leading to pedal edema and proximal phalanges which has affected his normal walking and eye vision. He further states that petitioner is also suffering from diabetes and increased blood urea level and such diseases have a higher mortality.

It is further submitted that petitioner is having fracture in his left foot with chronic lower back ache which has severely impacted his walking. 4.
Issue notice. Notice accepted by the learned APP appearing for the State.

Vide order dated 28.10.2024, the petitioner was granted interim bail by this Court for a period of four weeks from the date of his release subject to certain conditions including furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the concerned Jail Superintendent/Trial Court/Judicial Magistrate/Duty Judicial Magistrate.

The learned counsel for the petitioner states that despite such interim bail order, petitioner could not be released earlier as he was in judicial custody in connection with four complaint cases filed under Section 138 of NI Act.

Petitioner has since been convicted under Section 138 NI Act in such cases. In CRL.REV.P.(N I ) 11/2025, 12/2025, 13/2025 and 14/2025, vide order dated 30.05.2025, the sentence awarded has been suspended till the next date of hearing i.e., 20.08.2025. The petitioner was released on interim bail in the present case only after his sentence was suspended vide order dated 30.05.2025.

settlement and mediation proceedings are pending before the Delhi High Court Mediation Centre (SAMADHAN) on 07.07.2025. 9.
The attention of the Court has been drawn to the latest medical status report issued by the Senior Medical Officer, Central Jail No.2 Dispensary, Tihar, as per which the petitioner is suffering from chronic kidney disease (Stage-IV) besides other ailments namely diabetes, hypertension, hypothyroidism, Charcot Neuroarthropathy of left foot, non-union fracture 2nd and 3rd proximal phalanx of left foot and lower urinary tract symptoms. 10.
Complainant present through VC confirms that parties are negotiating for settlement and has no objection to the extension of interim bail of the petitioner.

Considering the medical status of the petitioner as also the fact that parties are negotiating for settlement and proceedings are pending before the Mediation Centre on 07th of July 2025, I deem it appropriate to extend the interim bail of the petitioner for a further period of three weeks subject to the previous terms and conditions as contained in the order dated 28.10.2024.

The petitioner is directed to surrender before the Trial Court immediately on completion of the interim bail period and shall not seek any extension.

The bail application is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 14.
