The present petition has been filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('Act of 1996') seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by six (6) months for enabling the Arbitral Tribunal to pass the arbitral award. 2.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner states that the matter is at the stage of recording of Petitioner's Evidence.

2.1. She states that the next date of hearing fixed for cross-examination of the Petitioner's witnesses is 22.07.2025 and 23.07.2025. She states that Respondent's witnesses are yet to be examined. 2.2. She states that the period of one (1) year for making the arbitral award in terms of Section 29A (1) of the Act of 1996 was to expire on 12.01.2025 and therefore, the parties mutually agreed for extension of the time for passing the arbitral award in terms of Section 29A (3) of the Act of 1996 by a period of six (6) months till 12.07.2025.

Issue notice. Learned counsel for the Respondent appeared on advance service and accepts notice.

3.1. She states that she has no objection to the relief sought. She states that she also represents the Respondent before the Arbitral Tribunal. 4.

Keeping in view that the matter is still at the stage of recording of Petitioner's Evidence and in view of the consent of the parties, this Court deems it appropriate to extend the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal till 31.03.2026.

With the aforesaid directions, the petition stands disposed of. 6.
