The only prayer in this writ petition is for a direction to the respondents to decide the application submitted by the petitioner under Rule 29 of the CRPF Rules, 1955 on 11 March 2025 within a time bound frame.

Issue notice to show cause as to why rule nisi be not issued. 3.

Notice is accepted on behalf of respondents by Mr. Balendu Shekhar. Notice is returnable forthwith.

In view of the limited nature of the prayer concerned, we dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the respondents to take a decision on the petitioner's application dated 11 March 2025, within a period of four weeks from today and to communicate the decision to the petitioner as soon as it is taken. In case the decision is adverse to the petitioner, its operation would remain in abeyance for a period of one week, in order to enable the petitioner to seek legal remedies if so advised.
