The present petition has been filed by the petitioner primarily seeking that the respondents be directed to issue a new and valid passport to the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the respondents, on instructions, submits that upon the petitioner approaching the nearest passport issuing authority and complying with the requisite formalities, the passport shall be duly issued to the petitioner. The said statement is taken on record.

The above redresses the grievance of the petitioner as canvassed in the present petition; the same is, accordingly, disposed of.
