1. The petitioner has approached this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India assailing the order dated 02.07.2024 by which he has been transferred from 25 BN, BSF at Delhi to 28 BN, BSF (Field Area) at Barmu, Rajasthan.

2. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that in view of the observations made by this Court on 12.07.2024 as also the representation made by the petitioner, the respondents have considered the petitioner's request for deferment of posting and have, accordingly, directed that he be retained till the annual transfer of 2025.

3. A copy of the order dated 20.07.2024 passed in this regard is handed over in Court and is taken on record.

4. In the light of the aforesaid, nothing further survives for adjudication in the present petition which is, accordingly, disposed of.

5. It is, however, made clear that this will not preclude the petitioner from making any application for further extension if the need so arises, which application will be considered by the respondents on its own merits.
