This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 110/2023 under Sections498A/406/34 IPC, registered at P.S Crime(Women) Cell, Nanak Pura, on the basis of settlement arrived at between the parties on 16thFebruary, 2024, which is on record of this Court.

Petitioner no. 1-4 and respondent no.2 are both present in Court and are duly identified by the IO.

As per the settlement, an amount of Rs. 5 lacs had to be paid, out of which, the balance amount of Rs. 2.5 lacs is being tendered today by means of DD no. 552408 drawn on Indian Bank dated 11th July, 2024, to respondent no.2; she acknowledges the same and states that she has no objection to the FIR The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. being quashed.

Petitioner no.1 and Respondent no.2 got married on 03rd May, 2022 and have since obtained a decree of divorce by mutual consent on 01st June, 2024. No child was born out of the wedlock.

Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No. 110/2023 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at P.S Crime(Women) Cell, Nanakpura and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 7.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending application, if any, is disposed of as infructuous.
