2.

In the writ petition, it has been averred that the Respondent Nos. 1 to 5 are 'hand in glove' with the Respondent No. 6 and their inaction is adversely affecting the general public.

3.

MCD has filed a status report stating that the partial demolition of the illegal construction has already taken place on 4th March, 2024 and further demolition action is proposed to be taken post the completion of the general elections.

4.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner states that he is satisfied with the action taken by the MCD and does not wish to pursue the writ petition. 5.

However, as admittedly the entire unauthorised construction has not been demolished, this Court directs the Special Task Force ('STF') to monitor the unauthorized construction complained of. 6.

With the said directions, the present petition and applications stand disposed of.

7.

Registry is directed to forward a copy of this order to the STF, through the Vice Chairman, DDA.
