Accordingly, this application stands disposed of. O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 509/2025 3.

The present petition has been filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('Act of 1996') seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for the period of six (6) months, enabling the Arbitral Tribunal to pass the award. 4.

It is stated that Respondent had awarded to the Petitioner the work contract vide Letter of Award dated 03.08.2018 ('Letter dated 03.08.2018') for carrying out the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the plumbing works at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences. 5.

It is stated that dispute had arisen between the parties and thereafter, Arbitral Tribunal was constituted on 01.06.2022. It is stated that arguments were concluded on 20.09.2024 and the matter was reserved by the Arbitral Tribunal for passing of the award. It is stated that mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has expired on 13.04.2025. It is stated that thereafter, the Arbitral Tribunal issued fresh direction on 06.06.2025 calling upon the parties to seek extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal. It is stated that therefore, the present petition has been filed.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner states that parties have learnt that there was a medical emergency in the family of the Presiding Arbitrator and therefore, there has been a delay in publishing the award. 8.

Issue notice. Mr. Om Prakash, Advocate enters appearance on behalf of Respondent. He states that he has no objection to the relief sought. 9.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner and Respondent states that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for publishing of the award be extended till 30.09.2025.

In view of the consent of the parties, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for making the award is extended till 30.10.2025. 11.

With the aforesaid directions, the petition stands disposed of. 12.
