This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitrator by a period of six months from 03.03.2025.

Disputes having arisen between the parties in relation to Agreement of Contract No. 02 (2014-2015) dated 05.12.2014 for the work of comprehensive proposal for Delhi Jal Board on ERP & web portal, Petitioner filed a petition under Section 11(6) of 1996 Act, being ARB.P. 809/2020, which was allowed on 08.03.2022, appointing a sole Arbitrator, who subsequently recused from the matter and on the Petitioner filing I.A. 16881/2022, substitute Arbitrator was appointed vide order dated 24.11.2022. Mandate of the Arbitrator was extended by six months till 03.03.2025 with mutual consent of the parties. The award was reserved by the learned Arbitrator on 24.12.2024 for pronouncement, however, vide email dated 01.05.2025, learned Arbitrator informed the parties that due to certain unforeseen circumstances, award could not be pronounced till 03.03.2025 and in this backdrop, extension is sought. 5.

Issue notice.

Mr. Abhijeet Yadav, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the Respondent and on instructions, submits that Respondent has no objection to the extension of mandate of the Arbitrator.

Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the Arbitrator is extended by a period of 03 months from 07.07.2025 and period between 04.03.2025 to 06.07.2025 is regularized.
