Present public interest petition has been filed seeking issuance of directions to the respondent no. 1 to ensure that no professional institutions for competitive examinations, coaching classes and academic institutions are operating without obtaining Fire NOCs and without following due process of law/building bye-laws.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that though the petitioner has filed a detailed representation to the respondents dated 03rd July, 2024, yet he has not received any response till date.

Since the representation filed by the petitioner is recent and the issue of obtaining Fire NOCs by coaching centers is already under consideration in W.P.(C) No12182/2016, the present writ petition along with the application is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file an application for impleadment in W.P.(C) No.12182/2016. The rights and contentions of all the parties are left open.
