% 22.02.2018 Respondent no.2-Ms. Pinki is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by W/SI Pooja Chaudhary of police station Mayur Vihar, Phase I. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with petitioner no.1 before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 12th February, 2016 pursuant whereof she has started living with her husband, that is, petitioner no.1. She further submits that she has settled the matter of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and has been living with her husband for the last two years, therefore, she is not interested in pursuing the FIR any further and the same

may be quashed against the petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 to 4.

Keeping in mind that a husband and wife have started living together after ironing out their differences, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 579/2014 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Mayur Vihar Phase I and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
