W.P.(CRL) 452/2018 Status report has been filed. The address of the petitioner has been verified. It has also been verified that the mother of the petitioner (aged 70 years) is suffering from old age ailments and a spinal problem.

Petitioner seeks parole to look after his old aged ailing mother and to maintain social ties. The nominal roll of the petitioner reflects that the petitioner is a convict under Section 307 of the IPC. He had been sentenced to undergo RI for a period of 5 years and to pay a compensation of ₹1 lakh to the injured. This sentence had been reduced in the appeal which has been which has been disposed of by this Court on 25.9.2017. The nominal roll of the petitioner further reflects that as on 22.02.2018 he has undergone incarceration of

almost 2 years and 4 months. His jail conduct is satisfactory. Accordingly, petitioner be released on parole for a period of four weeks (to be counted from the date of his release) on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- with one surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendant with condition that the petitioner shall surrender himself to the Jail immediately on the expiry of the aforenoted parole period of four weeks. He shall report to the local SHO on every Monday of each week. He shall also furnish his latest mobile number and residential address to the local SHO.

Petition disposed of in the above terms.
