Through the present Writ Petition, the Petitioner prays for the following relief:
"(i) Issue a Writ of Certiorari quashing orders dated 28.01.2019 and 23.07.2019 passed by Disciplinary and Appellate Authorities respectively and as a consequence thereof reinstate services of petitioner and grant arrears of pay to petitioner;" 2.
In substance, the case of the Petitioner is that he could not have been dismissed from service during the pendency of the criminal proceedings registered against him under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

This Court has been informed that during the pendency of the present Petition, the Petitioner stands convicted by the learned Special Judge, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Panchkula, Haryana, and has been sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of four (04) years along with a fine of Rs.40,000/- (Rupees Forty The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
